Winster Hill Climb

MRC Members Tom Llewellyn and his two young boys Evan and Rhys competed in the 2025 Winster Hill Climb near Matlock.

This annual popular event is a race over a half kilometre hill with a gradient of 9.74%, (which for the uninitiated is a steep hill)

Tom’s finished 18th out of 59 in a time of 1 minute 6.2 secs, which is excellent considering he had just completed a 1000 mile Charity Ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) the week before ! See separate Blog.

Evan finished in 50th place in a time of 2 minutes 07.9 seconds and Rhys finished in 55th in 2 minutes 29.2 seconds.
