Mansfield Road Club bicycle riding is our passion.
We were the benchmark that other clubs strived to emulate! After 20 years, the energy for cycling has come back to Mansfield! The ethos of the club is simple – to be a home for similar individuals, who want to ride their bikes and have a laugh while doing it. Whether it is top level racing or rolling out for a recreational ride.
Formed in the mid-eighties in the town of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Mansfield Road Club is a cycling club with great enthusiasm for every part of cycling.
The club soon picked up notoriety for delivering top riders at just about every cycling discipline, be it road racing, hill climbing, track, time trialling or mountain biking.
The acclaimed red and white jerseys would always be prominent at the front of the races – be it national champions, area champions, record breakers or representing Great Britain.
Community, it's what we are all about.
We are looking for members who are willing to work together.
As a still very active cycling club, we have lots to offer for any newcomer willing to take on the cycling world. We have some of the most excellent roads in our area and helps us guide anyone in the right direction they want to take with there cycling. i.e. colour graded organised rides on dedicated routes to avoid heavily congested areas for the person who wants to learn group riding at there own pace.
We’re not all about the newcomers too, some of the experienced riders like to challenge themselves mentally and physically. If you’re setting yourself up for a big event and you need the determination and schedule. We could provide that with scheduled fast-paced club rides, i.e. every Tuesday “chain gang” or an early Saturday or Sunday morning fast club run.
