Enjoyed the ride out Tuesday with the coggers, much stronger in the legs than 2,wks…
Five riders met up at the Star pub woodhouse, for Kev’s 48 mile route, second attempt, heading towards Pleasley . The first being plagued by mechanical issues, but this time everything went okay to my relief, phew.
Weather was set fair for perfect conditions 15-21 degrees. Going through Temple Normanton, Hasland and Staveley. We then took a left hand bend only to see a 16% climb up to Eckington cricket club 😮💨. Steve commented at the top, my face looked the same colour as my helmet.😂.
One of the many climbs on the day to test your legs and lungs, we finally reached Rother Valley park for a welcome bacon cob.
After the cafe stop/picture, we ventured back culminating in some more stunning scenery approaching Bolsover Castle.
Great route by Kev, with Dave, Steve, Martin and Roger. South Yorkshire and Derbyshire is sure a climbers paradise.
Well done and great effort by the lads. 👍
