The Majorca 312 is a closed road organised cycle sportive on the island of Majorca, Spain. The ride starts at 06:30 on Saturday 26th April 2025 at Playa de Muro near Alcudia. See the official website.
Entry is via the cycle holiday company Ciclos Major. They do a complete package of holiday hotel and race entry plus other invaluable support for the riders up to, after and including the event. Book your flights first then go to their website and enter the race by clicking the relevant ‘Book now’ link.
There are options to enter the 312km, 225km or 167km routes. A number of Mansfield Road Club members have already signed up and others are considering the challenge.
When you register for the event you don’t have to decide which route you will take. You can decide on the day. If you feel you have the strength you can do the full 312km route, but if your training didn’t go to plan and you don’t have enough hours on the saddle, you can always do the 225km or the 167km option.
The initial part of all 3 routes is the same for everyone.
The first 20km, until you reach the town of Pollensa, are relatively flat following the beautiful coastline to Puerto Pollensa and will give you a chance to warm up. Then, you will start the climbing to the Serra de Tramuntana and the first ascent of the day, the category 2 Coll de Femenia.
For the next 120km it is up and down some of Mallorca’s best climbs. Puig Major is the highest point of the route. The penultimate climb, Coll Des Pi, is the shortest and also the steepest one of them all with an average of 7%.
Most of the climbing is in the first 150km then the rest of the route if you are doing the full 312km is nice and flat with a few undulations here and there.
Come join us at Mansfield Road Club and Cyclos Major, you will love it.
